KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes underwent surgery in Dallas on Monday night to repair the ACL he tore in his left knee in a loss to the Chargers, and the team said in statement that he would begin the long rehabilitation process immediately.
As Patrick Mahomes and Micah Parsons prepare for their long roads to recovery, these players should offer them hope.
Dallas-based orthopedic surgeon Daniel E. Cooper performed surgery on Mahomes on Monday evening and reported that the quarterback had no artery, nerve, joint or meniscal damage. Mahomes has already begun rehab in Dallas and is expected to return to Kansas City on Friday to continue his rehab under assistant athletic trainer Julie Frymyer.
