Federal investigators said Friday afternoon during a news briefing they are not aware of any mayday calls made before a private jet crashed in Statesville.

A plane crashed early Thursday at Statesville Regional Airport, killing seven people, including NASCAR star Greg Biffle, his wife and two children, and three other people.
